Work Samples

This slideshow displays a work sample which includes:

​

• A fully cited research report: This report explains the research completed and discusses all of the results found during the research session. Each fact is cited in footnotes, and any documents found will be cited and produced in the research section.

• Documents and images: Any copies of documents found, such as birth record, death certificate, marriage records, photographs, etc will be cited and included with the report.

• Research log: This log shows each collection searched, and includes the date searched, the record collection, the repository, citation, and document number. 

• Pedigree chart: A pedigree chart is a family tree, with the main individual in the starting position. It shows direct ancestors going back in time, listing birth, marriage, and death dates.

• Family group sheets: A family group sheet is a summary of vital events in a family. The top of the page will show the husband and wife with their birth, marriage and death dates. Below that is a list of their children with vital events.
